The Women’s Centre Library

Join our Centre and access our book collection

Members are welcome to browse our library during our opening hours. We have books on self-esteem, healing from sexual abuse, supporting LGBTQI family members, Maori women, health and more.

If you find a book that is of interest to you please fill out the borrowing card, located at the back of the book. Once you have filled in your details place in the card in the green box located on the shelf in the library. This is so we know who has borrowed the book and how long you’ve had it for.

Women are able to get books out for total of 4 weeks. When you are returning a book please place the book in the returns box.

How to Join the Women’s Centre

We invite you to join the Women’s Centre.  When you join the Centre you get a colour issue of the Cronecle  newsletter posted to you, and are able to take out books from the library.  That’s the immediate benefits but the longer more unseen benefits are you support the continuation for the Women’s Centre, who have since 1987 supported and provided opportunity for women to grow and develop, to experience themselves in stronger and more powerful ways.  The Women’s Centre supports women in finding a voice to express themselves, to find their own future direction and to find a sense of connectedness and belonging.
