Planter Boxes with Cahoots

You're signing up to build planter boxes with Cahoots at the Lower Hutt Women's Centre!   📅 A 2-part workshop: Saturdays 1 & 15 November 10-3pm both days.

We’re teaming up with Jade Musther from Cahoots Workshop—a queer-led DIY repair collective—for a hands-on workshop all about using tools, working with wood, and building confidence (and planter boxes!).

📍 Lower Hutt Women's Centre , 186 Knights Road, Waterloo

• 👟 Wear closed-toe shoes
• 👕 Wear comfortable clothing (not too loose)
• 🤝🍲 Bring food for a shared lunch

Session 1:
Learn about timber, what types, shapes and sizes there are
Practice measuring and cutting accurately
Get to grips with drills and drivers so we can fasten that wood together
Round out all the skills for basic garden building
Do some planning for our planter boxes

Session 2:
Use and practice all the skills from session 1 to build a planter box that you'll take home
